Arizona native Martin Spanjers started his acting career at the ripe old age of seven when he was cast as Michael in a summer theatre production of "Peter Pan." When he was first cast for the role, Martin turned it down, explaining that there was too much "line load" (too many lines). The director talked him into taking the role, and he was a big hit with the audience. He never worried about "line load" again.
Martin went on to perform as Colin in "The Secret Garden," Tiny Tim in "A Christmas Carol" and Frank in "Cheaper by the Dozen."
Drawn into the entertainment industry by his new-found love of theatre, Martin's talent propelled him into television and feature films. On the big screen he starred in "The Ride," "The Perfect Game," "Max Keeble's Big Move," "Home" and "Evil Alien Conquerors."
On television Martin starred in the series "Daddio" with Michael Chiklis, and had a recurring role in the Olsen twins' comedy, "Two of a Kind." He also guest starred in a variety of television series, including "Touched By an Angel," "The Hughleys," "Malcolm in the Middle" and Andy Richter Controls the Universe."
Martin currently resides in Los Angeles while shooting "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter".
